Consider this thought: What we plant today becomes the legacy that will shape the hearts and minds of generations to come. Your current investments matter - not just for your own journey, but for the people whose lives you touch. At Trinity we’ve seen this firsthand. Driven by a desire to see the gospel transform North County San Diego, Trinity has grown into a vibrant, multi ethnic, and intergenerational church. We are so thankful for the thriving community God has built here. Now, with hearts full of hope, we invite you to step into a new chapter with us- a season of transformed lives, families, and communities—as we introduce the Rooted Campaign!
After years of operating with a “start-up” church plant mentality, we believe the time has come to be rooted—rooted deeply in our community, anchored more firmly in the gospel, and committed to using what we have for the joyful benefit of others. We’re excited to announce that we have secured a space that will serve as Trinity’s “ministry hub” throughout the week, giving us 24/7 access and creating a stronger sense of identity for the congregation. But Rooted is not just about expanding our physical presence; it’s about activating a movement of people in service to our neighbors—and it all starts with you.
You are a representative of the gospel, placed in San Diego with a purpose. Where God has positioned you—whether in your neighborhood, workplace, or relationships—is intentional. But what seeds are you planting? What we invest in today will leave a lasting legacy, shaping the lives and hearts of those around us. The Rooted Campaign is an invitation to join together in advancing the gospel in ways that deepen our community and extend blessings to others. In the following pages, you’ll find more details about Rooted and how you can get involved. This is a collective effort that requires all of us. Let’s pray boldly and expect God to do great things for Trinity and North County San Diego. We hope you’ll be all in.
Warmly and with much expectation,
Pastor Jonathan
Our new space at 12220 World Trade Drive, located in the heart of the Carmel Mountain neighborhood, is part of a larger corporate office complex. This central location among the many North County neighborhoods will serve as Trinity’s “ministry hub” throughout the week. It will offer our members a beautiful space for community building, spiritual formation, a central hub for our middle and high school students, and office space for Trinity’s staff.
With launching the Rooted Campaign we aim to raise $450,000, over the next two years, for our new home at 12220 World Trade Drive. Our goal is to create not just a permanent space for Trinity but a vibrant center that will serve in renewing both our church and our communities. We encourage you to contribute in a way that works best for you, whether that’s a one-time gift, a monthly donation, of any amount you choose. Your support is crucial in helping us build a welcoming hub for our church and community.
The projected construction/renovation cost is $250,000. The annual cost to operate the space, which includes rent, utilities and incidental costs is projected at $100,000 a year or an added 8% to our annual budget.
Yes – we’ve been on the lookout for larger spaces for quite a while. Given occupancy restrictions, and the current cost of purchasing/renting larger buildings, this midsized ministry hub is a great solution for the age and stage of our church.
We are signing a 5-year lease with the expectation that the size and location of this space will serve Trinity well for the next five years.
There is a current need for a consistent space for our middle and high school ministries, band rehearsals, any and all spiritual formation workshops/classes, men’s and women’s gatherings, all prayer and worship gatherings hosted during the week, in addition to office space for our staff.
Yes – we are installing a beautiful bar area designed around establishing a hospitable experience for all. While this area will not include a stove top or oven our intention is shared meals and experiences together.
Yes – one of the perks of this particular building is a warehouse space we are outfitting for the youth. It also includes a large roll up door which leads to an adjacent parking lot that can be used for games and community building in the evenings and after business hours.
We will be able to seat 100+ in “stadium style” seating. We anticipate being able to seat 80-100 people when round tables are in use.
We intend to design a beautiful, inviting, and hospitable ministry hub. Our choices are driven by a desire to create a place people want to gather in, finding it surprisingly warm and compelling.
The overall cost for construction + furnishings will be close to $250K. This building rental will be a new and recurring annual addition to Trinity’s overall budget moving forward, and all additional funds will help offset rental costs these first two years.
We hope to begin in October or November and be finished by the New Year. Fingers crossed!
Pray for all three parts of the Rooted vision: Rooted in the gospel, in our community and for others.
One of the best ways we can love and bless our neighbors is by becoming a physical neighbor ourselves. We want to do more than descend into a neighborhood on Sundays to “use” space. We want to be rooted in the fabric of the neighborhood, creating a place for members of Trinity to use throughout the week, which can also serve the needs of our friends and neighbors
What we plant today becomes the legacy that will shape the hearts and minds of generations to come. Your current investments matter - not just for your own journey, but for the people whose lives you touch.
We’re inviting everyone who calls Trinity home to engage in a spiritual decision-making process that leads to a financial commitment above and beyond regular giving. Biblical stewardship isn’t about equal gifts, but equal sacrifice, according to what God has entrusted to each of us. More than a fundraising effort, this is an opportunity to be part of what we believe God is doing to bring flourishing to all—starting with us and reaching across North County San Diego.
